ABOUT US
Iron Hound was built on the belief that when deals get difficult, experience matters most.
Founded by Robert Verrone in the aftermath of the financial crisis, Iron Hound was created to serve borrowers and owners whose needs were no longer being met by traditional channels. From the beginning, the firm focused on the situations where the stakes are highest and the path forward is least obvious — loan restructurings, capital gaps, refinancing pressure, market dislocation, and complex debt scenarios.
Over time, Iron Hound has become known for its ability to step into complicated situations, assess them quickly, and create solutions that protect value and move transactions forward.
WHAT SETS US APART
What sets Iron Hound apart is not just experience — it’s the ability to apply that experience where it matters most.
The team brings together deep backgrounds in origination, underwriting, structuring, securitization, distribution, credit, workouts, and capital markets.
That breadth allows Iron Hound to advise clients from multiple angles while remaining focused on one thing: creating solutions that work in the current economic climate.
Iron Hound combines the responsiveness of a boutique advisory firm with the judgment, relationships and transactional experience expected at the highest levels of commercial Real Estate finance.
Our Process
-

Due Diligence
From the first conversation, the team works to understand the client’s situation, evaluate what is achievable, and complete a rigorous underwriting process.
-

Proposal
Once the facts are clear, Iron Hound develops a focused strategy and proposal built around the transaction, the market, and the client’s objectives.
-

Negotiation
Iron Hound works directly with lenders, servicers, and capital partners to create practical, executable outcomes that align interests and preserve value where possible.
-

Closing
The firm remains fully engaged through closing, coordinating underwriting, third-party diligence, timing, and execution across all parties.
